I had been coveting this Alessi black epoxy resin steel bowl for months - but Australian retailers had is listed at $149.00 for the 29cm size. I decided to purchase from the UK, and at 49 pounds plus 7 pounds postage it was still a far better buy (approx $82.50AUD) . I purchased from design55_interiors an Ebay UK Shop. I received great service and the the bowl was safely packaged.

I have noticed that when new patterns arrive in store the existing stock is heavily discounted. Keep your eye out for price reductions. Target has a small range of Zak! Designs 100% melamine plates and bowls. Dinner plate $4.99ea and individual bowls $3.99ea. The picture doesn't do them justice.

I love these Ladelle Song Bird tea towels. Too nice for drying dishes, I'm not sure what I'm going to use mine for yet. Bird silhouette prints are very popular at the moment.

'Albi' Spanish Recycled Glass

This Albi Spanish Recycled Glass is my current favourite thing to collect for display. This range was stocked at Spotlight, but I recently found it again in a local gift shop. Tea light candle holders around $8 and larger bowls $35 -$50. Shades of apple green, cool blue, mocha, duck egg blue and smoke grey alabaster swirls. Lovely items for display and practical to use too.
